06 Mar TROPICAL CYCLONE IRIS WEAKENED TO CAT 1
Cyclone IRIS has weakened to a CAT 1; “…moved slightly further away from the coast”.
WARNING ZONE – BOWEN TO SHOALWATER BAY, incl. MACKAY and the WHITSUNDAY ISLANDS
WATCH ZONE – NONE
“…IRIS is expected to continue on its current track tonight [ESE 8km/h], while weakening further.”
Heavy rainfall associated with the Cyclone is also reportedly becoming “increasingly unlikely” with its weakening and ESE movement. Although there is a flood watch current for coastal catchments between Ayr & St Lawrence.
MOST IMPORTANTLY All our pets are very well, with a couple of ‘experienced’ old stagers not particularly fussed at all 🙂 Only a couple of wind gusts…. 🙂 Once again they are all fed and tucked in.
The lovely IRIS is predicted to eventually head NW as a LOW over the next 2-3 days. Goodbye IRIS, you are soon to be nameless.
Next update tomorrow 5/4/18.
Thank you for your patience, take care and steady driving.
