A: Short Notice Booking Guide
Auto-Blocking of Immediate Sessions: As bookings are only processed during our opening hours, our system automatically prevents you from making a booking for the upcoming session as closing time nears. However, there is a potential solution for last-minute check-ins during the final 50 minutes of the ‘next session’:
Booking Process:
- Next Session Booking:
- Book for the next available session in the system.
- Vaccination Upload:
- If you’re a new customer or haven’t previously uploaded your pet’s current C5/F3 vaccinations, ensure they are uploaded.
- Include the previous in-cycle vaccination if the current one was administered less than 15 days ago.
- Note that tax invoices cannot be accepted in lieu of a vaccination booklet or signed vaccination certificate.
- Booking Note (Critical):
- When booking the next available session, include a note requesting a check-in during the last 50 minutes of the previous session.
- 10-minute appointment spacing applies.
- Example Scenarios:
- Saturday Afternoon Booking: If it’s Saturday afternoon and you are making a booking after we’ve closed at 11:00 AM, and you’re aiming for a Sunday afternoon check-in (3:00 PM to 4:50 PM), book the Monday session and add a note like “Request check-in at (not before) 4:10 PM Sunday” (with options up to 4:50 PM).
- Monday Lunchtime Booking: If it’s Monday lunchtime and you are making a booking after we’ve closed at 10:00 AM, and you’re aiming for a Monday afternoon check-in (3:00 PM to 4:50 PM), book the next available session (Tuesday) and include a note like “Request check-in at (not before) 4:10 PM Monday” (with options up to 4:50 PM).
Approval Process:
We process these special requests upon reopening. If all criteria are met and subject to availability, we aim to send a booking confirmation email.
Before Arrival:
- Non-Refundable Booking Fee (NRBF): Promptly pay the NRBF as requested in the confirmation email to finalise your booking, allowing us to plan for your arrival.
Limited Availability Warning:
- Requests lacking vaccination details or those requesting check-in more than 50 minutes before the session ends (e.g., 4:00 PM for a session ending at 5:00 PM) cannot be processed.

- This process aims to accommodate last-minute bookings in the last 50 minutes of our sessions.

Adhering to these guidelines ensures a smooth reliable check-in experience for you and your pet.
Why do I need to present a hard copy of my VIP's current vaccination certificate every time I check-in IF I have already uploaded it OR a copy has been emailed to you?
- Uploading or emailing vaccination certificates is helpful, but presenting a hard copy at check-in is still necessary for several reasons:
- System Reliability: Our computer systems might be down (e.g., due to a booking cloud issue or power outage), and we don’t store hard copies on-site.
- Document Quality: Uploaded or emailed certificates can be poor quality, incomplete (e.g., missing pet’s name), or unsigned.
- Verification: If there’s a discrepancy and your vet is unavailable, we cannot verify the information.
Think of your pet’s vaccination certificate like a passport—always present it in hard copy every time you check in. 😊
Why do you have a daily rate?
A: Daily Rate
Our accommodation fees are calculated on a calendar day basis, which includes both the day of arrival and the day of departure, and every other day in between, regardless of the check-in or check-out time.
Benefits of Our Daily Rate:
*Flexible Check-In/Out: Our daily rate allows for morning check-in and afternoon check-out on our busiest days without additional charges. These options are included in the daily rate and are how most customers utilize our services.
* Guaranteed Accommodation: To ensure your pet’s accommodation space is guaranteed for both current guests and incoming pets, it must be reserved for the entire day, even if you arrive in the afternoon or leave in the morning.
Tip for Maximising the Daily Rate: Check in during the morning and check out in the afternoon on our busiest days ✅
Note 1: We are closed on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings.
Note 2: Daily rates like nightly rates typically don’t include an exact 24 hour period – think of the hotel custom & practice – 2pm check in, check out 10am scenario 🤔
Why do you have a solo accommodation rate in the busiest part of your Christmas New Year peak period?
The Solo Accommodation Rate helps cover the costs of providing additional kennel space due to increased management needs. While some establishments charge 100% extra, we aim to meet you halfway.
The surcharge applies to:
- Non-social breeds, entire males, unsociable pets
- Owner-requested or resort-required accommodations (e.g., brachycephalic breeds, elderly dogs needing rescued stimulation / rest)
- Breeds or mixes with genetic predispositions to certain behaviours, personality traits and temperaments, whether displayed or not.
It also applies to pets deemed potentially incompatible with others, including typically sociable breeds.
The surcharge is demand-based and only applied during the busiest peak periods, such as leading into and following Christmas/New Year, Easter, or large events.

We appreciate your understanding that our booking inquiries and correspondence are processed only during our business hours. As a home-based business, we prioritise maintaining a healthy work-life balance; and while we may be attending to your pets; we are not digitally connected to our business outside of these hours. This ensures that we can provide the best possible service to you when we are available.
